Big Ced

M-F 7p-Midnight

Big Ced, The Fly Guy with the Bowties, grew up on Hip Hop and Classic R&B (a huge Michael Jackson fan) in the '80s in Orlando, FL. The first album he bought was Stetsasonic “In Full Gear.” In 1983, his life was changed when he saw the movie “Wild Style Back,” which reinforced his belief that Hip Hop is more than music. It's a relevant movement with Break Dancing, Battle Rapping, gold chains with a fly jumpsuit and some Adidas on your feet.

Big Ced came to Austin to attend Huston–Tillotson University and fell in love with the city. He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and Prince Hall Masons. He began his career in radio in 2006 in the promotions department of CBS Radio where he transitioned to on-air talent after the launch of 96.3 RnB (now 95.9 RnB) When he is not busy at the station, he hosts and emcees events all over Austin and the surrounding area. He is very involved in the Austin community and loves to give back as often as possible. In 2017, he was awarded the Leadership Award by Jump On It Inc. Big Ced is well known and easily recognized by his extensive collection of unique and often handmade bowties. Lately, he has dabbled in designing bowties and plans to open up his own line in the future.

You can catch Big Ced live from 7 p.m. until midnight Monday through Friday on 95.9 RnB!
