When it rains it certainly pours for Tamar and Vince. In 2016 Tabloid headlines swarmed Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert following their firing from the daytime talk show The Real. The headlines continued after rumors came out about their involvement in an alleged domestic violence situation leaving the future of the two reality tv stars bleak. Yet,  just when it seemed like the dust was beginning to settle for the couple in a brand new year, another curve ball was thrown and hyped up the headlines again. With the excitement of a new season of Braxton Family Values, jaws dropped following the news of a freshly filed lawsuit by Sony Music Entertainment against the Vincent "The" Herbert.

According to The Jazmin Brand, Sony Music is suing Mr.Herbert for the amount of $3.4 million. It said that the root of the $3.4 million stems from Herbert’s refusal to return the money he owed Tamar’s former label.

After Sony signed a deal with Herbert’s company Streamline Entertainment, the Jazmin Brand reported that the company paid him an advance of $5 million. In conjunction with the deal, Herbert was required to sign 2 new artists a year and Sony would gain the revenue owed to Herbert through Interscope Records.

Under the New Deal Herbert’s First artist signed was….Tamar Braxton, who received $1 million to begin production on her first album, Love and War. In addition to the $1 million, Herbert received $100,000  for his newly appointed position as VP of A&R for Sony.

If there’s one thing we know about Tamar and Vince, there one resilient couple. I’m sure I am not alone in believing that the power couple will come out stronger after this storm blows over.
